Welcome to your future team. As a Functional Analyst (employee or freelancer) you will become an indispensable link in our Banking Solutions division headed by Sabrina Defraene.
What you’ll be doing
Joining our Banking Solutions Team(s) as a Functional Analyst you will be working on our multi-banking platform. This includes activities around the processing of several types of payments, fraud detection, digital signatures with various types of tokens, …
You’ll participate in the implementation of our product roadmap which includes the roll-out of new security tokens, enhanced anti-fraud detection, further advances in instant payments, a renewed technology architecture, a new mobile App, the addition of new services like e-invoicing, self-servicing, …
You will work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that our software solutions align with business objectives. You transform the high-level business use cases into concrete, practical and efficient solutions in collaboration with the rest of the development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Take requirements (customer experiences) and transform them into concrete and practical functional specifications
- Split Requirements / Initiatives into concrete EPICS that can be implemented by a development team
- For each EPIC, write the specifications for each story
- Acceptance criteria
- NFRs
- Documentation and release notes
- Dependencies and deadlines
- All that in cooperation with product managers, technical architects, delivery teams, security officers, operations engineers, performance engineers and customer care as all those constraints must be taken into account in the design
- Interface with Functional Analysts of the banks to make sure our solutions interface properly with the bank applications.
- During the implementation, participate to all Agile ceremonies (demos, refinement meetings, planning, retrospectives)
- Accompany developers during the full life cycle, answer their questions, validate their design, check their deliveries, …
- Write release notes
- Validate a solution before it's been deployed in Beta
- Take part to incident analysis when they occur
Job requirements
This is how you appear in our dreams
- You have a practical experience of 5+ years as a Functional analyst in payments and have worked with ISO20022 standards. You are used to writing functional specifications combined with a good understanding of the underlying technical constraints.
- You have experience with Agile but can adapt to various ways of working.
- You have a “can do” attitude, are solution oriented and have good communication skills as you’ll need to interface with several different profiles.
- You are not afraid to challenge requirements. You continuously improve the product, methods, processes, tooling, … and take ownership of some tracks in the improvement process.
- As our platform is key to the Belgium economy, you are not afraid to jump into fixing mode with your delivery colleagues when an incident occurs in production.
- You are fluent in English AND Dutch or French.
