What you’ll do

 

The Data Engineer is responsible for implementing data pipelines and transformations, collaborating closely with data analysts and technical teams for the implementation of data flows.

Your tasks will include: 

 

• Implement data pipelines and transformations using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and dbt.

• Collaborate with data analysts and technical teams to define data input, output, and pipeline requirements.

• Identify and implement AI/ML opportunities using machine learning and LLMs.

• Ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.

• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal risk frameworks. by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks in alignment with regulatory expectations and company policies.

Technical: python, SQL, Azure, Databricks

This role is ideal for a junior data engineer who’s looking to grow as a data professional.

You’ll thrive in this role if you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.

  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data processing workflows.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and grow in a data engineering career.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure).

  • Experience with data pipeline tools (Airflow, dbt, Luigi, etc.).

  • Familiarity with version control (Git).

  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
