Where are you?

Welcome to your future team. As a Software Development Team Leader (employee or freelancer) you will become an indispensable link in the Codabox Team that belongs to our Business Solutions division headed by Marie Costers.

What you’ll be doing

The team leader focusses on the wellbeing of the team and makes sure the team has the skills and the motivation to do their tasks as a cross-functional team.

As we have small teams, the team leader also contributes to the team as a Product Owner or Software Engineer.

As a team leader, you

Ensure that the team members have or are able to acquire the various skills to work as a cross-functional team

Maintain a productive, motivating working environment for the team and ensure a professional and constructive communication style and collaboration within the team

Perform regular one-on-one meetings and check-in conversations with the team members to set personal development targets and coach them in achieving them

The software engineer is part of the cross-functional team and is responsible for building the solution, including backend-end and front-end development, infrastructure (IaC), quality assurance and continuously improving the software development and delivery process.

Every software engineer has his own specialty, for example infrastructure, security or databases.

• Your Knowledge and Experience
• You have at least 3 years of experience in Python. Knowledge of Golang, Java or other similar language is a plus.
• You have at least 3 years of experience using databases, SQL and/or non-SQL
• You have been designing APIs with REST or GraphQL
• You know about provisioning tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi or similar
• You feel comfortable using Git, CI/CD pipelines, IDE’s
• You know or have an interest in the cloud (GCP, AWS), Kubernetes, serverless
• You work with collaboration tools, like Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, Slack
