What you'll be doing & where

Where are you? 

Welcome to your future team. As an HR & payroll specialist you are acting under the supervision of Dieke Vencken.

In your day-to-day job, it means:

  • You supply information to and answer questions from internal employees
  • You ensure the preparation of employment contracts and amendments to the employment contract.
  • You calculate wages, holiday pay, end of year bonus and other bonuses to ensure that wages and payments are timely paid with accuracy.
  • You ensure that the company complies with all relevant employment legislation and internal company policies to ensure compliance with all local social and labor laws.
  • You take responsibility for the administrative processing of all information (from line management) that relates to the payment of wages and salaries to ensure that the correct and timely payment of wages can be safeguarded.
  • You liaise with Insurances on affiliations, set up & maintain personal contributions in payroll.
  • You are the single point of the contact for managers of Finance, Security, Legal teams.
  • You build a strong business relationship with the management of those teams.
  • You manage HR processes such as salary review, training needs collection… in close cooperation with Finance, Security, Legal Leaders and CHRO
  • You build with the support of HRBP and the CHRO expertise across a range of HR issues (Comp& Ben, L&D, Performance Mgt, job rotation…).

How you appear in our dreams

  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience.
  • Having thorough knowledge of labor legislation and payroll compliance is crucial.
  • You’ll need to stay up to date with tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Payroll involves handling numerical data, so having strong math skills and the ability to spot errors is essential. Precision is key to avoiding mistakes in employee payments and tax calculations.
  • Time Management as efficiently managing payroll tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring timely payments to employees are critical aspects of the job.
  • As a payroll officer, you’ll handle sensitive employee information. Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding data is vital.
  • Hands-on experience with eBlox (SD Worx). Familiarity with tools like cafetaria plan (FIP) and federal mobility budget is beneficial.

  • Clear communication is essential when interacting with employees, managers and other stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters.
  • Payroll officers often encounter complex situations related to deductions, benefits and tax adjustments. Being able to analyze and being solution minded is valuable.
  • The payroll landscape evolves, so being adaptable to changes in regulations, technology and processes is important.
  • You are a team player in your collaboration with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Your organizational skills are excellent.
  • You are trilingual in English, French and Dutch.
